Weather App

One of my first real projects ever using JavaScript. I'm really proud of this working real-time weather app. I put so much hard work into this one, and I love coming back to it to implement better techniques the more I learn to make it look and run smoother. I even recreated this weather app with React, which was tough but fun.

Dictionary App

This dictionary app was one of my favorite projects I've built so far. I found it so cool being able to intergrate all these little parts together to create a whole product. My favorite part was adding the example pictures at the bottom because I feel like it just gives the overall app a fresh feel. Truly one of my favorites.

Currency Converter

I came across this idea while looking for different apps to build to increase my JavaScript skills. When I saw it I knew I just had to because when I went to Europe with my mother I remember us both constantly wishing we had one as we weren't the best at understanding the currency at the time. So once I was done building it, I had a quite a bit of joy showing my mom and sharing a laugh.

Rock, Paper, Scissors

This project was something I created to help me better improve my skills in JavaScript. I wanted to practice the fundementals of JavaScript and this was just a creative way to do just that. It was a fun little side project that I enjoyed creating, even more so because I love to play rock, paper, scissors. This was practice well needed and well enjoyed.

Online Portfolio V1

For my online class, one of our final projects was to build an online portfolio. This was my first design before going back and creating this one you're currently looking at. It's an earlier model but I really enjoyed the creative freedom of this project and had a grand time picking out the colors and design layout. Overall it was really great practice and I learned a lot from this build on what to add/take-away when creating this new porfolio.

Skyrim Website

My first real attempt at creating my own website from scratch. I decided to do it over something that brings me joy, even if a bit on the nerdy side. But that's what adds to the charm of this website and what makes me really proud of the work I put into the designing and creating it. What I wanted to really focus on was creating and connecting multiple webpages, as well as practicing different web design looks I found online and from Bootstrap.

Landing Page Practice

This webpage was part of one of my assignments for my online class. We were to practice getting used to web design and page layouts. It was when I first getting used to implementing Bootstrap when styling a page. It may be an older project, but I really enjoy the design and color palette in this exercise.

Figma Work Portfolio

Here is a small preview of the works I've created using Figma. I started really diving into Figma after I started taking an Udemy course that focused on design techniques and how to create a beneficial user experience with web applications. The course is amazing and I've learned so much such as focusing on typography, how to create tension on your page, and different ways to emphasize contrast. It has been enjoyable and it's an area I wish to continue growing in.
